Reconstruction of the 3,300 foot Big Savage Tunnel,
a monster of an obstacle on the Great Allegheny Passage will cost more that $10 million. While much of the
funding is in place, the Allegheny Trail Alliance must raise $1.5
million to complete this vital link between Meyersdale, PA and the
Maryland State line, opening up many more miles of trail.
